Indecision Is Still A Decision

A quiet one. A sneaky one. The kind that looks like “I’m still thinking about it” but often sounds more like “I don’t want to deal with the consequences yet.”

You know the ones?

The conversation you keep postponing.

The offer you keep circling. The change you keep researching.

The boundary you keep meaning to set.

The choice you keep telling yourself needs “a bit more time.”

And, yes I know. Sometimes, waiting is wise.

But sometimes you already know enough. Truth is you’re just not ready to deal with what the decision will ask of you. You’re at a crossroads.

Interesting thing is that while you are waiting, life does not pause politely in the corner. The situation keeps moving. Other people make assumptions. Pressure builds. Options narrow. Your energy leaks into something that still has not been decided.

Reality check:

A delayed decision can be strategic.

An avoided decision is expensive.

So, ask yourself: What decision are you pretending not to make?
Because whether you choose, delay, dodge, or defer, something is still being shaped.
