Easy To Work With Or Easy To Overlook?

You’re proud of being easy to work with. Yep!! I hear you.

Flexible. Calm. No drama. Step up when needed. Put in the hard yards.

That works – until maybe it doesn’t.

You adjust quickly. You absorb tension. You defer your perspective for harmony. Not necessarily because you agree but because it’s smoother. It’s easier.

And then somewhere along the way, you being adaptable turns into you being invisible.

You see…. being agreeable Isn’t a promotion strategy. Being easy to work with is not a personality type.

Here’s the important shift in this situation: harmony built on you saying nothing isn’t harmony. It’s putting the friction off to some later date or time when you potentially explode through sheer frustration.

Being collaborative doesn’t mean you have nothing to say. Being calm doesn’t mean that you are not actively engaged and feeling the feels.

Most everyone you interact with respects clarity. They rarely respect quiet compliance long term.

Where have you confused being pleasant with being impactful?

If you’re recalibrating that balance, you know what I do. Connect.
