We never lose our power all at once.
We hand it over in pieces.
Every time you say yes when your whole body says no.
Every time you stay quiet because speaking up feels inconvenient.
Every time you make yourself smaller so someone else does not have to feel uncomfortable.
Every time you call it “being nice” when what you really mean is “I don’t want the fallout.”
And yes, it can happen anywhere. Work. Home. Family. Friendships. Leadership. The places change. The pattern does not.
It’s time to realise that when you keep making yourself responsible for everyone else’s comfort, you stop being honest about what is actually going on for you.
Ultimately that doesn’t make relationships stronger.
It makes them less real.
Because your voice matters. Your preferences matter. Your limits matter. Your energy matters. What you want and who you are absolutely matters.
Reflect on this:
Where are you still paying a price you no longer want to pay?
