Routines That Build Influential Leaders

Success Hides in Your Calendar – Let’s Find It

Here’s a truth I’ve seen play out time and time again: The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.

Yep. Your daily routine.

Not in the big moments, the showy presentations or the high-stakes decisions. Instead, it is in the tiny things you do (or don’t do) every single day. Especially when no one’s watching.

As a leader, the way you communicate, self-reflect, and show up – consistently – shapes your impact far more than the occasional burst of brilliance. Hmmmmm. So my performance is only one part of the success formula?

The good news? You don’t need to overhaul your life. Small, intentional shifts in your daily rhythm can change everything.

Here are a few easy wins you can try this week:

🔹 Start with a 3-minute morning check-in – Ask yourself: What kind of leader do I want to be today? Intentionality and authenticity beats autopilot every single time.

🔹 Schedule ‘think time’ like a meeting – Even 10 to 15 mins of space (without a screen) allows for self-awareness, better decisions, and sharper communication.

🔹 Use a 2-word close to your day – A quick “What worked?” helps reinforce growth – and builds leadership insight over time.

🔹 Connect before you correct – One genuine check-in or encouraging comment to your team, peers or family member can transform how they hear you.

These are small, doable actions. But they stack up. Like compound interest for your leadership – at work, as a partner, as a parent and as a friend.

Success isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what matters – consistently. Consistency is the key here – which is where your calendar comes in.

🔹 Be deliberate about your consistency by scheduling these new actions in – Not just thinking about doing it. Holding yourself accountable to deliberately taking action.

And if you’re ready to get deliberately intentional about building habits that support your next-level leadership, reach out. I’d love to help you find your rhythm.
